Coral Vine Seed Germination:
1. Scarify the Seeds (To Break the Hard Seed Coat)
- Why: Coral vine seeds have a tough outer coat. Scarification improves water absorption and speeds up germination. Lightly nick the seed coat with a nail file, emery board, or sandpaper. Rub just enough to dull the surface or expose a lighter layer beneath, but don’t damage the inner seed.
2. Place the scarified seeds in a cup of warm water. Let them soak for 24 hours.
3. Use a well-draining seed-starting mix—a blend of peat moss, vermiculite, or perlite is ideal. Fill small pots, seed trays, or biodegradable seedling cups.
4. Plant seeds about ¼ to ½ inch (0.6–1.2 cm) deep. Cover lightly with soil and press gently to ensure good soil contact.
5. Water the soil until it's evenly moist, but not waterlogged. Use a spray bottle or fine mist to avoid disturbing the soil.
6. Use a heated propagator mat to keep the temperature between 70–85°F (21–29°C). Place containers in a warm, bright spot—sunny windowsill, greenhouse, or under grow lights. You can use a heat mat to maintain consistent warmth.
7. Germination is erratic. Seeds can germinate anywhere from 7 days to 4 weeks.

Germinación de semillas de vid coral:
