🌟 Why Grow Norfolk Island Pine?

Elegant, soft-needled, and incredibly adaptable, the Norfolk Island Pine is perfect for anyone wanting a low-maintenance indoor tree, a unique holiday plant, or a statement evergreen in tropical climates.

Norfolk Island Pine Seed Germination Instructions:

1) Soak Seeds: Soak in room-temperature water for 24–48 hours to soften the seed coat and improve germination. Norfolk pine seeds with their large wings are likely to float, even after 48 hours, because the wings and potential air pockets make them buoyant. The float test really doesn't apply to these, but they do need to get a good 48 hour soak before planting.

2) Prepare Medium: Use a well-draining mix—equal parts peat moss and perlite or a cactus mix. Moisten lightly.

3) Environment: Place in a warm area (65–75°F). Provide bright, indirect light. Use a humidity dome or cover loosely with plastic to retain moisture.

4) Watering: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy. Mist as needed to maintain humidity.

5) Germination Time: Be patient—germination takes 4 to 8 weeks, sometimes longer.

6) After Sprouting: Remove cover once sprouted. Continue bright light and gentle watering. Transplant when well established (4–6 inches tall).
